What Process Performance Requirements Need To Be Met For Injection Mold Processing?

Injection mold processing generally has to go through several processes such as forging, cutting, and heat treatment. In order to make the mold quality and save the production cost, its material should have good forgeability, machinability, hardenability, hardenability and grindability; it should also have small oxidation, decarburization sensitivity and quenching deformation Cracking tendency. 1. The forgeable injection mold has low hot forging deformation resistance, good plasticity, wide forging temperature range, and low tendency for forging cracking, cold cracking and precipitation of network carbides. 2. Annealing process spheroidizing The annealing temperature range is wide, the annealing hardness is low and the fluctuation range is small, and the spheroidization rate is high. 3. Machinability Large cutting amount, low loss and low surface roughness. 4. Oxidation and decarburization sensitivity When heated at high temperature, it has good anti-oxidation performance, slow decarburization speed, insensitivity to heating medium, and small tendency to produce pitting. 5. Hardenability After quenching, it has uniform and high surface hardness. 6. Hardenability After quenching, the injection mold can obtain a deep hardened layer, which can be hardened by using a mild quenching medium. 7. Quenching deformation and cracking tendency The conventional quenching volume change is small, the shape is warped, the distortion is slight, and the abnormal deformation tendency is low. Conventional quenching has low cracking sensitivity and is not sensitive to quenching temperature and workpiece shape. 8. Grindable grinding wheel has small relative loss, large grinding amount, insensitive to grinding wheel quality and cooling conditions, and is not prone to wear and grinding cracks.
